calendar

A layout with calendar and extra tags for photos and journaling for every month of the year.  It's already hanging on my wall and the January tag is full of sweet memos and the best photo of this month. I loooved this idea so much that I think I'll make it a tradition so at the end of each year I can make a mini from these tags with all the best memories and images of the year^.^ Made for  MemoriesTrend January challenge.

family photoalbum layout

There's an amazing challenge at "Tea with cinnamon " blog I just couldn't pass by. The theme is "Inspiring woman". So I would like to tell you about the woman of 60's-80's that inspires me.
She was a simple, everyday  woman you could see anywhere around that time. All her adulthood she was working in mines at more than 1000 meters under the ground, at northernmost city in the world, the Russian city of Norilsk, there where the night lasts 2 months and the snow reaches 4 meters high. Nevertheless she managed to become an inspiring mother to 3, grandmother to 5, a perfect wife and always but always elegant and cheerful.
This is the layout I dedicate to the true heroine of my childhood, my grandmother.
The colours of the layout was inspired by the Siberian tundra, the only kind of nature you can see there.

I used a really old book and glued some of it's pages together to create harder pages for my layouts

P.S. Девочки я наверное не совсем прохожу по правилам, но в любом случае спасибо за это великолепное задание, которое вдохновило меня и помогло выразить то, что давно уже на душе и не находило выхода на бумагу.

And if you are very insterested , here some photographs of my hometown  Norilsk and the mines where my grandmother worked

Thank you for stopping by ^.^ Wish you blissful inspiration

mixed media layout

Few simple steps in making mixed media layouts.
First, I used some scraps left from an alphabet die and stencils with paint

Then inks, stamps and few embellishments

And for the finishing touch I used glimmer mist and more embellishments of course ^.^

 So here is the result.

few close ups on all the shininess ^.^

I'm participating with this layout at Get Creative  September layout challenge and at Memories Trend
Thank you for stopping by. Wish you inspiration and happy creating ^.^

P.S. I was featured here
