Artists on The Block and Altered Pages blog hop

 

 Hello everyone.This month at the Artists on The Block we are having a month long blog hop in collaboration with Altered Pages. Every Tuesday you can hop over to Altered Pages blog to check their creative Artist Trading Blocks and every Thursday you can find ATB Team rocking blocks at the Artists on The Block. We are all using amazing collage sheets from Altered pages to create our Artist Trading Blocks ^.^  As for my project this month, I created a fairy house block ^.^

 For the fairies I just used a simple image transfer technique on a clear plastic surface with the only difference that I actually used the side to which I adhered the images. This way they turned out a bit transparent (to adhere the fairies you can use some 3-D foam squares or adhesive dots, in my case, unfortunately, I was out of these goodies so I used hot glue gun )

 

In order to make a roof  I cut some extra pieces of mat board (as you can see a lot of distressing of coarse ^.^)

And to embellish the roof and make it more fairy looking I used the heart die from the Eileen Hull Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die - Blocks/Cubes, 3-D.  I scored some of the hearts for the roof edge.

Then just some more distressing, stamping, embellishing some more flowers and here are more photos of the finished Artist Trading Block for fairies ^.^ (if you are interested I can share the flower tutorial too ^.^ )
