summer dreaming

Two layers of stamped images with Picket Fence distress paint in between.I'm thinking about a dream within a dream. First one with vivid colors and more abstract images fade away into the second more realistic one with earth tones witch in the end turns into the flowers
I hope I'm not too much out there ^.^

art is...

Every time I think of my next project I usually have a vague idea of how it's going to look like but I always know exactly what I want to do and what I want to achieve ^.^ This time I decided to step out of my comfort zone and work with mists (not much of my area of expertise), create something full of colors but at the same time to achieve slightly vintage look (cant help it, it's my favorite one, so I always try to go that way ^.^)

First a background...sticky back canvas and tons of misting, stamping (even doodling a bit later!)  masks, rub-ons,inks..looked like a total mess in the beginning, but when it got all dry and shiny I really liked the result ^.^

I used Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels, so it's really really shiny

and the final result

Well that was pretty fun experience, I love the result, it turned out great for the first-timer ^.^ It was created especially for SSS blog Monday challenge:Make the cut!

I used: Tim Holtz Alterations Hardware Findings and Love Struck and Sizzix Wings die cuts, Dymo caption maker, grunge board and lots of Idea-ology goodies.

Sometimes

some wrapping paper and few craft envelopes

are more than enough to be inspired ^.^

(stamps, inks and some designer papers are always welcomed to give to the project even more eclectic look)
My first idea of this project was to create card or tag holder that looks like parcel, but I in the end I loved so much the result that I decided to use this cover to create a photo album, from the same craft envelopes I used here, so this is just the first step of a bigger project that I'll be sharing with  you later this month. Stay tuned ^.^
