This month's Art with Heart challenge is "Projects to love", that's why I would like to share with you simple project idea that I always loved but haven't had any chance to make it myself ^.^ How about some flowery ice cream? ^.^
to make this lovely ice cream full of flowers you are going to need Eileen Hull's Cake Slice XL die and Borders & Hydrangeas die
first I cut the top of a cake slice (you'll need 3 or more pieces, depending on a size of a Styrofoam ball you want to use for your flowers)
after that you'll need to decide if you want the doily edges to be outside or inside the cone (I chose outside ), after that start gluing the sides accordingly. I had 4 pieces,I glued them in pairs for so it would be easier to embellish them with some paper first.
To achieve the faux waffle texture of a cone I used some colored cardstock, scored it with my scoring board, cut it with cake slice die and then applied distress ink directly from the box swiping over the score lines
before gluing the cone pairs together I adhered the cardstock
for the finishing touch I dabbed some white distress paint over the flowers
P.S. thank you for stopping by ^.^ wish you crafty inspiration and happy crafting

as we wait for our "waffle" cone to adhere, we can make out "ice cream" flower balls ^.^
just cut as many as you need, and use some pins to attach them to Styrofoam ball
for the finishing touch I dabbed some white distress paint over the flowers
